DOG'S DAY OUT
Have a few hours to spare and want to enrich the life of a shelter dog, we have just the program for you! Our dogs would love a break from the craziness of the shelter for a few hours a day and we have dogs to fit all fitness levels. There is a fully-enclosed dog park just a mile from the facility in Fort Lupton and it provides the perfect opportunity to allow a short escape for our dogs. Many of them have been to the Fort Lupton dog park and love the break it provides. Groups of 2-3 dogs can go at a time with someone willing to take them out.

Looking for something a little more active? Like to run several miles or hike for a few hours? We have dogs that thrive in these situations as well. There are a number of trails and paths within short proximity to the shelter and we encourage volunteers to consider taking one of our dogs out for any duration of time to get some exercise.
Volunteers must be at least 18 years old with a valid drivers license and complete a volunteer orientation prior to embarking on this adventure.
