Johnny is a sensitive, sweet boy who came to the shelter as a 9-week-old puppy. While his siblings were adopted quickly, Johnny spent nearly a year in the shelter, causing him to become fearful of people. Thankfully, after just a month in foster care, he learned to trust his foster mom enough to enjoy pets, be picked up, and go on walks with confidence. Johnny is an A+ walking buddy with excellent leash manners. He's still a little nervous around passing cars and is working on building confidence outside, but he improves with every outing. Where Johnny truly shines is with other dogs. He absolutely loves canine friends and can match any play style—from wrestling with big dogs to gentle games with little ones. He enjoys splashing in water, chewing sticks, learning to fetch, and spending time outdoors. A home with another friendly dog is a must, as he looks to other dogs for confidence and comfort.

Johnny is crate trained, potty trained, doggy-door trained, and incredibly smart. After three months in foster, his goofy, playful personality is finally shining through. He'll thrive with a patient adopter who will continue helping him build confidence. Johnny is still timid around men and visitors, so he'd do best with a single woman or a couple with a very patient man who will allow him time to warm up and adjust. A home with a fenced yard, another playful dog, and an active family willing to provide exercise and enrichment will help him continue to blossom. About: Tarantallegra is a sweet, loyal cattle dog who forms very deep bonds once he feels safe and trusts you. He needs an adopter with herding/working breed experience — or someone fully committed to training, structure, and daily mental and physical exercise. Tarantallegra can be fearful with new people and does best in a quiet home with limited visitors. He tends to bond most closely with one person, making a single-person household ideal, though he could succeed in a multi-person home with consistent training. He prefers to take things at his own pace and needs a patient adopter who will respect his space while he builds trust.

When excited, Tarantallegra may try to herd, so he needs a “job,” plenty of enrichment, and regular activity. He loves chew toys, enjoys staying busy, and is a big cuddler once comfortable.

Tarantallegra is a flight risk in the first few days in a new home, so secure management is critical. He has done well with large dogs and his foster’s cat, but can be dog-selective, so slow introductions are a must. He is fully potty trained and will use a crate once settled in. A home without children is preferred. If you are patient, experienced, and looking for a deeply devoted companion, Tarantallegra could be a wonderful match.

About: Meet Kimyon, an absolute sweetheart who is guaranteed to steal your heart the second you meet her. This adorable Cattle Dog mix is the perfect medium size and has such a loving, easygoing personality. She absolutely adores dogs and people and is happiest when she’s close to her humans, soaking up attention, belly rubs, cuddles, and all the love you can give. She has the kind of personality that makes you feel like you’ve known her forever. Kimyon walks wonderfully on a leash and is such an enjoyable companion to take out and about. She has a calm and gentle nature but still has a playful side that shines through when she gets excited. Whether it’s hanging out on the couch, going for strolls, or rolling over for belly rubs, she is just happy to be included. She is a little on the chunky side right now and could definitely benefit from a weight loss journey with her future family. More walks, adventures, and healthy routines will help her feel her very best — and she’ll happily be your partner for all of it. Kimyon also has cherry eye, which gives her a unique and charming look. She has been evaluated by our veterinarian, and since it causes her no discomfort, it has been determined that leaving it as is is the best option for her. It does not slow her down or affect her happy, loving personality in any way. Kimyon truly is such a special dog. She’s affectionate, sweet, social, and has so much love left to give. Rapa Rosie is the perfect combination of adventure buddy and cuddle bug. She has a gentle, sensitive soul wrapped up in the body of a fearless little explorer. While she can be a bit shy when meeting new people, she's incredibly confident with other dogs and truly comes alive outdoors. Currently living at 9,500 feet, Rosie has proven herself to be an amazing hiking companion. She loves exploring trails, sniffing new scents, and showing off her confident little strut. After a cool mountain rain, she celebrated with the happiest zoomies! We expect Rosie to mature around 35–40 pounds, though she's convinced she's much bigger. Rosie is incredibly athletic, food motivated, and eager to learn. She's smart, curious, and always ready for her next adventure. She also loves other dogs and would likely thrive in a home with a playful canine companion. With people, Rosie simply asks for a little patience. She isn't one to rush up to strangers, but if you give her space and let her come to you, she'll quickly reward you with kisses, cuddles, and endless affection. Once you've earned her trust, she's an incredibly loyal little shadow. Rosie is potty trained, crate trained, and has wonderful house manners. Just a few weeks ago, Ker was a shy, uncertain large puppy trying to navigate the world. Today, this large handsome 9-month-old Lab mix has blossomed into a happy, affectionate boy who is ready to find the family he's been waiting for. Ker loves everything that makes puppyhood so much fun—chasing toys, splashing in the kiddie pool, zooming around the yard, and playing with other dogs. In fact, having another confident, playful dog in the home would be a huge plus for him. He absolutely comes to life when he has a canine friend by his side. His confidence has grown tremendously in foster care. He recently spent the weekend meeting new people, including men and children, and greeted everyone with a wagging tail. He played beautifully with another dog and even slept through Fourth of July fireworks without a care in the world. Once playtime is over, Ker is all about cuddles. He's a total love bug who enjoys relaxing with his people and is surprisingly calm for a puppy. He simply wants to be wherever his family is. Ker is crate trained, potty trained, and incredibly smart. He picks up new routines quickly and usually only needs to be shown something once before he understands. His foster family describes him as a dream foster because he's eager to learn, eager to please, and such an easy dog to have around. While Ker feels confident in his home and backyard, he's still gaining confidence on walks and in unfamiliar places. With a patient family willing to continue encouraging him, there's no doubt he'll keep blossoming. Because he's still a goofy, growing puppy, he'd likely do best with older children. Ker has made incredible progress in such a short time, and it's been amazing to watch him transform. His forever family is going to hit the jackpot with this sweet, mellow,  loyal, playful boy. With freckles of every color and a smile that never quits, Mindo is as handsome as he is lovable. Affectionately nicknamed "Glacier" by his foster dad, this happy-go-lucky boy has an easygoing personality and a heart full of love. He adores making new friends—both human and canine—and is always ready for his next adventure. Mindo came from a litter of 10 puppies born to an amazing Heeler mix mama. He'll be a medium-sized dog when fully grown and has all the makings of an incredible family companion. At around 6 months old, Mindo is everything you could hope for in a puppy. He's doing wonderfully with potty training, crate training, and sleeps soundly through the night. He's incredibly affectionate, loves to cuddle, and has a sweet, even-tempered personality that makes him a joy to have around.

Like any puppy, Mindo loves to play! He happily wrestles and romps with other puppies, but he's also respectful of adult dogs when they set boundaries. He'd love a home with another playful dog or an active family committed to giving him plenty of adventures, playdates, and opportunities to explore.

Mindo has also been cat tested and did great. He was curious but respectful, backing away when the cat let him know they'd had enough. This smart boy is highly food motivated and eager to learn, making training fun and rewarding. He's already attended outdoor concerts, enjoys relaxing on brewery patios, and loves soaking up attention, belly rubs, and compliments from everyone he meets. Mindo is the total package—friendly, affectionate, playful, and ready to become someone's very best friend. She may look like a tall Chihuahua, but she carries herself like a tiny snow-white tiger — graceful, confident, and fully aware of her own quiet power. There is something truly special about the way she moves through the world, balancing curiosity with a calm, self-assured presence. Edda is a true lap dog at heart. If there is a cozy spot on the couch or an open arm nearby, she will find it without hesitation. She loves being close to her people and melts right into snuggles, often settling in as if she has always belonged there. Whether you are relaxing after a long day or just sitting quietly, Edda is happiest when she is right by your side, soaking up love and giving it right back. Edda likes to keep life on schedule — especially when it comes to meals. She is enthusiastic, vocal, and delightfully dramatic when she knows food is on the way, and her personality really shines in those moments. Her strong food motivation makes her a dream to train, and she is already potty pad trained and picking up new routines quickly. She is smart, eager, and enjoys learning, especially when there is a reward involved. Edda also has a playful, spunky side. Her foster family affectionately calls her their “little piranha” because she dives into playtime with full puppy enthusiasm and determination. About: This sweet boy is a total professional when it comes to kisses, cuddles, and long walks. While he may get a little wiggly and excited when it’s time for an adventure, he quickly turns into a complete gentleman once the leash is on — he walks beautifully with no pulling and is such an enjoyable companion to have by your side. He’s a strong, sturdy guy with an even bigger heart, and he loves showing affection by leaning into his people for pets and attention. It’s his sweet way of staying close to the humans he loves most. He isn’t the biggest fan of going back into his kennel and will happily dart out to greet you the second the door opens, ready for love and attention. But once settled inside, his manners are truly impressive. He’s very quiet, rarely barks, and will simply sit calmly watching the world go by, hoping someone stops for a little connection and affection.

Outside, his playful side really shines. He loves zoomies, exploring the yard, and having fun. He may not be the best fit for a home with cats, as he is very fascinated by them, so please check with us about cat testing to make sure he would be the right fit for your family. He was an absolute star at our recent adoption event, charming volunteers and strangers alike with his wagging tail, sweet personality, and gentle treat-taking skills. He interacted well with the other dogs he met but does appreciate slow, respectful introductions to help everyone feel comfortable and set up for success.
